Dezember 2001 – Der Konsum von Protein Supplements kann dabei helfen, die Auswirkungen des Übertrainings zu verhindern!

Eine Proteinzufuhr von etwa 2 Gramm pro Kilogramm Körpergewicht resultierte in einem verbesserten Schutz vor einem Übertraining. Diese Studie wurde an der Ball State University mit 17 mit Gewichten trainierenden Männern durchgeführt. Die Probanden führten ein vierwöchiges Übertrainingsprogramm durch, in dessen Rahmen sie während der ersten zwei Wochen 3 Sätze von 8 Übungen mit je 8 bis 12 Wiederholungen bis zum Muskelversagen ausführten. Während der beiden Folgewochen führten Sie 5 Sätze von 5 Übungen mit je 3 bis 5 Wiederholungen bis zum Eintritt des Muskelversagens aus. Die Männer erhielten während dieser 4 Wochen entweder ein Aminosäuresupplement (2 Gramm Protein/Kilogramm Körpergewicht/Tag) oder ein Placebo. Die Männer, die das Aminosäuresupplement einnahmen, wiesen im Vergleich zu den Probanden, die das Placebo bekamen, messbare positive Veränderungen des Gesamttestosteronspiegels, des Verhältnisses von Testosteron zu den Proteinen, die es transportieren und der Hämoglobinspiegel auf. Dies beweist, dass eine adäquate Proteinzufuhr der Schlüssel zu Zuwächsen an Muskelmasse ist! Man sollte deshalb sicherstellen immer genug Protein (etwa 2 Gramm pro Kilogramm Körpergewicht) zu sich zu nehmen.

Dezember 2001 - Protein in Kombination mit Kohlenhydraten ist für den Muskelaufbau besser als Protein alleine!
Diese Studie, die an der University of Texas Medical Branch durchgeführt wurde, bestimmte die Menge der Aminosäure L-Phenylalanin die in gesundes Beinmuskelgewebe bei der Zufuhr von einem von drei Shakes aufgenommen wurde. Die Shakes wurden eine und zwei Stunden nach einem intensiven Beintraining konsumiert und lieferten für einen 70 Kilo schweren Bodybuilder entweder 6 Gramm Protein, 34 Gramm Kohlenhydrate oder beides pro Shake. Die L-Phenylalanin Aufnahme war beim Protein + Kohlenhydrate Shake dreimal höher als beim Kohlenhydrat Shake und etwa zweimal so hoch wie beim reinen Aminosäure Shake. Wie man weiß, ist der Shake nach dem Training die für einen gesteigerten Anabolismus wichtigste Mahlzeit. Man sollte deshalb sicherstellen, dass man für beste Resultate ein paar Kohlenhydrate mit seinem Shake nach dem Training zu sich nimmt!

Es ist ebenfalls reich an der Aminosäure Arginin, welche die Stickoxid-Produktion (nO) auslöst, was in einem erhöten Blutfluss resultiert, der mehr Sauerstoff, Nährstoffe und anabole Hormone zu den Muskeln liefert. Das sorgt für mehr Energie und einen stärkeren Pump während des Trainings so wie eine verbesserte Erholung und Muskelwachstum nach dem Training. Arginin steigert auch die Wachstumshormonwerte, was während und nach dem Training wichtig sein kann.
